Founder & Creative Director : Hayley Welsh
International artist Hayley Welsh, was born and bred in Blackburn, attending St Wilfrid’s High School and St Mary’s College, before studying a foundation art course at Blackburn College. Regularly travelling, exhibiting and creating street art across the globe, she has been named by as one of ten street artists ‘you should know by now’ by Jetstar magazine, however Blackburn still has a strong place in her heart.
Passionate about the positive influences street art can make within a community, she founded BOW in 2016 and looks forward to creating some more inspirational artwork alongside a fleet of other creatives in Blackburn Open Walls this year.

Award winning artist Alexandra Gallagher was born 1980, Lancashire, England. Exhibiting and selling internationally, including the world renowned Saatchi Gallery in London. Alexandra Gallagher's work celebrates the surreal and bizarre. Between the realms of memory, dreams and experience, her work looks beyond our subjective limits and often tells a story of inner imagination and thought.
Creator of the Papergirl Blackburn project last year, she is passionate about public art and together with Hayley, looks forward to curating the BOW Exhibition this year.
